Donations, Refunds & Cancellations
CJ Memorial Eye Foundation operates as a donation platform. Donations made through this website are voluntary contributions intended to support the Foundation’s work, including patient support, cataract and cornea surgery funding, donation administration and related Foundation activities.
Because donations are not purchases of goods or services, refunds are generally only considered in limited circumstances.
Eligibility for Refunds
A refund request may be considered where:
- A duplicate donation was made in error
- An incorrect donation amount was entered
- The transaction was unauthorised or fraudulent
- A technical or payment processing error occurred
- A recurring or monthly donation was processed after a valid cancellation request
Refund requests should be submitted within 7 calendar days of the donation date, together with proof of payment and the reason for the request.
Non-Refundable Donations
Donations may not be refundable where the funds have already been allocated, committed or used towards Foundation-related activities, patient support, surgery funding, administrative costs or operational expenses, unless otherwise required by law or approved by the Foundation at its discretion.
Processing Time
If a refund is approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method where possible. Refund processing times may vary depending on the bank, card provider or payment processor, but approved refunds are generally processed within 7 to 10 business days.
Cancellations
Once-off donations can only be cancelled before the payment has been processed. Once a donation has been successfully processed, it will be treated as a completed donation and will be subject to the refund terms above.
Monthly or recurring donations may be cancelled at any time by contacting CJ Memorial Eye Foundation. Cancellation requests should be submitted at least 5 business days before the next scheduled payment date to avoid the next donation being processed.
